Dr. Vail was born and raised in Rochester, NY. He became a Christian at age 20 and later received a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering. He worked as an Engineer in the medical device and pharmaceutical industry until God called him into vocational ministry in 2000. Dr. Vail has earned a Masters of Art in Religion, a Masters of Divinity, and Doctorate of Ministry from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. His favorite book of the Bible is James.
Dr. Vail and his wife Kim were married in Virginia Beach in 1987. They have three grown children, Heather, Lindsay, son-in-law Brad, and Caleb, all of who reside in the Charlotte area.
Dr. Cummings, nationally known worship leader, composer and professor of music education, Dr. Cummings has served in church music ministry for over 25 years. He has toured the world with his own written music to audiences of tens of thousands. He earned a Master's Degree in Music Education from Coppin State University and his Bachelor of Science Degree in Music Education from Morgan State University.
Pastor Gustavo Bentos is a former International Soccer player and the Senior Pastor of the Northside Spanish Church. Pastor Bentos studied at Uruguay School of Medicine. Theological Training School - Temuco, Chile, and Instituto Bíblico de las Carolinas.
Pastor Stinson is our Family Pastor. Families and the home are a passion for Pastor Stinson. He wants to see children grow up to be faithful servants of God because of the example their parents set for them. Pastor Stinson is a former firefighter for the city of Charlotte and a 1997 graduate of Northside Christian Academy. He earned B.A. in Biblical Studies from Southeastern College at Wake Forest, and an M.A. in Religion w/ focus on Church Ministries from Liberty University. His favorite book of the Bible is Colossians.
Ed Smith is part time assisting in pastoral care ministry. Ed and his wife Anne were both save August 1, 1976 at Northside Baptist Church. He came on staff in October 1981 as the Jolly Sixties Director. In 2001 he left Northside to pastor Golden Harvest Baptist Church in Stevensville, Ontario, Canada. Ed and Anne returned to Charlotte in 2015 after serving in Canada for fourteen years. "It's an honor and a privilege to serve at Northside once again".
Pastoral care will reach to all ages with hospital visits as well as home visitation. He will be assisting Diane Propsts in the Jolly Sixties Ministry and working with the senior singles, widows and widowers (Senior Singles Ministry). He will head up a prayer ministry along with visitation ministry to shut in's and those in nursing homes to assist and care for the seniors of Northside as well as those outside our church family.
