The following are guidelines for members of Northside Baptist Church who desire to be a part of  the ministry known as Community Connection to actively participate in the great commission (Matt. 28:18-20).  The areas of emphasis will be in being a lunch buddy, mentoring, and/or tutoring students who attend Hidden Valley Elementary School.

Purpose

Each volunteer will provide on a consistent weekly basis during the school year encouragement, teaching, correction, and instruction in matters related to school while on the campus of Hidden Valley Elementary School.  It is also the aim of Community Connection to abide within the perimeters of Hidden Valley Elementary School and their policies and in doing so, maintaining a continued positive working relationship that will benefit all involved.  In addition to the above aims, it is the goal of Community Connection to contact the caretakers of the students and while demonstrating care for their children, the volunteer will be able to establish a platform for ministry to the family.
