The mission of Northside’s Community Connection is to build caring relationships with the hope of gaining permission to share the life changing Good News of Jesus Christ in a selfless, non-offensive manner.

How We Got Here

Northside’s History - Northside Baptist Church was founded in 1954 and has been a beacon in Charlotte many years.  Members of Northside have given consistently throughout the years for the purpose of reaching out with the good news of Jesus Christ to the local community and ultimately the world. 

Where We Are

            Although our roots go way back historically, we are a part of the modern culture.  Our website is at http://www.northsidecharlotte.com/ .  Everyone can see what our beliefs are, and the many of the activities and ministries we offer.  Did you know that Northside has great opportunities for infants, senior adults, and everyone in-between? 

Community Connection

Northside desires come along side those who are located in our immediate vicinity.  There are businesses, apartment complexes, and houses in our surrounding area that represent people who are concerned about the success of their neighborhoods.  We want to partner with these like minded, concerned people for their benefit. 

How Can Northside Community Connection Benefit You?

            No Cost to You – There are companies like Community Chaplains of America located in our city and state that offer similar services to Northside’s Community Connection.  One major difference between the two companies is the cost.  There is no cost to you, the business owner. We would like to be one avenue that you and your employees may take during a time of need.

You can see these statistics and more at http://www.commchap.org/ .  They would state the following as support for their involvement within the communities in which they have influence.  With statistics like this, we are asking you to consider us as an avenue of assistance for you.

OVER THE NEXT 12 MONTHS IN NEIGHBORHOODS NEAR YOUR COMPANY:

• 28 babies will be born
• 75 hospitalizations will occur
• 300 people will experience a major life crisis
• 42 divorces will occur
• 14 domestic violence incidents will occur
• 120 people live in a co-habitation arrangement

OVER THE NEXT 12 MONTHS IN WORKPLACES NEAR YOUR COMPANY:

• 160 co-workers will grieve the death of a family member
• 200 co-workers will experience job change or job loss
• 400 co-workers will face financial challenges
• 68 co-workers will be impacted by suicide

OVER THE NEXT 12 MONTHS IN SCHOOLS NEAR YOUR COMPANY:

• 340 students will be involved in car accidents
• 860 students will experiment with alcohol or drugs
• 960 students will engage in sexual activity
• 380 students will seriously consider suicide
• 100% will experience the ups and downs of adolescence

We are asking that a business owner allow Northside’s Community Connection to assist in any way that is fitting.  We are not asking for money or even a platform to give direction to a business in any way.  We just know that an employee is a precious commodity and part of that employee includes a moral and spiritual element.  We want to be available to assist as the owner and employee see fit.
