David is natively from Long Island, New York. He and his family moved to North Carolina in 1990. He is the son of Tyrone & Sharon Wade (Weddington, NC), and one of three children. His brother resides in FL and his sister lives in Matthews, NC. He and his wife of 9 years (Karen) currently reside in Monroe, NC with their two children Micah (7), and Alana (4). David is a degreed Accountant with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of North Carolina-Charlotte. He has worked in the accounting programs of a variety of industries including, but not limited to, dentistry, construction, healthcare & banking. He says "With each career move, God has granted me skills that have prepared me for my current position here at Northside Baptist Church."

David was raised in a strong Christian home. The name of God was more than just a plaque on the wall, but a name that was revered and worshipped. He has been a member of Hickory Grove Baptist Church for nearly 22 years, where he has served in various capacities. He has taught a young married adult bible class, has served as a Deacon, has functioned as the Church Treasurer, has served on the church Finance Committee and Deacon Executive committee, and has participated as a choir member for many years. He says "I love serving the Lord and His Church in any capacity." 

For nearly the last 6 years David has sensed a calling on his life to enter the ministry. After much prayer and discussion, he and his wife have complete assurance that God has led them to us here at Northside in spite of all the change this move will bring. David fully believes that whom God calls, He also equips and he knows God is equipping him for this ministry. He says "I look forward to growing with the fine folks of Northside Baptist and building a legacy here for myself and my family."
